The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching multi-faith PRE from Year 7 to Year 9, and Religious, Philosophical and Moral Issues at GCSE and A-Level.
They should be committed to multi-faith Religious Studies and be able to inspire excellent attainment in public examinations by exhibiting high standards of teaching and learning, and a passion for the subject.
The successful candidate will be responsible for advising pupils and parents on progress, giving clear guidance for improvement, assessing, recording, and reporting as required in accordance with the department’s procedures, and participating in parents’ evenings.
The successful candidate will also prepare students for university applications in this subject area, as well as forming links with appropriate university departments and faculties.
A good university-level qualification is essential, in addition to Qualified Teacher Status, experience of teaching PRE to GCSE and A Level and a proven track record of academic success at GCSE and A Level.
A strong interest in PRE pedagogy is equally important.
