Position: Project Manager (Internal/Fit-Out) - 6-9 month initial contract Distribution Centre/Fulfillment Centre - Start-Up Experience Overview: Our client is seeking a highly experienced Project Manager to oversee the continued development of the UK fulfillment and distribution network. With a full order book of projects in 2025 we are seeking a natural leader capable of managing large, complex projects, ensuring the successful launch of new fulfillment centres, and maintaining strict adherence to timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities: Lead Large Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of high-impact fulfilment centre projects, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met while staying within budget. Team Leadership: Manage a team of internal staff and contracted specialist sub-contractors and other resources, offering mentorship and strategic direction throughout the project lifecycle. Cross-functional Coordination: Work closely with internal and external teams to align resources, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring seamless project execution across various functional teams. Vendor Management: Coordinate with multiple vendors simultaneously, ensuring that their work is on track and that standards of quality and consistency are met. Timeline and Budget Management: Maintain focus on ambitious schedules and cost control, balancing the need for quality with the imperative to meet deadlines. Stakeholder Communication: Interface with senior leadership and key stakeholders to provide regular project updates, risks, and mitigation strategies, ensuring all parties remain aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Ideal Candidate: Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing large, complex construction and fit-out projects within the fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain sectors.
