The role
Meldrum House is no ordinary place.
Your role is to provide a warm, friendly and efficient service to our guests. Always ensuring the greatest service standards are always delivered and exceed our guests' expectations. As the first and often the last point of contact for guests, you will be integral in the guests journey with us.
To ensure that the guest check in/out procedure is seamless and assisting in preparing the hotel services and facilities for the next service.
Joining our dedicated team, you will:
* Creating a warm and welcoming environment for our guests.
* Deliver exceptional service to guests at all times.
* Answer any questions guests may have regarding our offerings and services.
* Manage the nights team including building and issuing of rotas considering the hotel business and staff absences including holiday authorisation.
* Ensuring that all team members are inducted into the business affectively and receive the necessary training to perform all their tasks to the agreed standard.
* Accountability for task completion including additional tasks set by other departments.
* Look after hotel security and guest welfare at night.
* Ensure the Night Porters conduct regular floor walks and security checks of fire exits and public areas.
* Reporting any irregularities to the management team.
* Assist in clearing down of, setting up and servicing event rooms.
* Assist in the preparation of Room Service food and trays in line with food hygiene guidelines and hotel standards.
* Provide check in and check out services to any guests out with reception times.
* Delivery of any night services directory requests such as wake up calls, newspapers etc.
* Manage and deal with any incidents at night and informing the emergency services and Managing Director when required.
* Ensuring all incidents and accidents are reported using the correct process and forms.
* Performing hotel evacuation in the event of a fire alarm or any other reason.
* Create brilliant customer service and a fun environment to promote guest loyalty
About you
As a crucial member of the management team, you will have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail in order to provide consistent standards. This is a vital role in the function of the hotel and ultimately the service provided to our guests before, during and after their stay. You will love chatting to our guests offering help and assistance, you will be great at multi-tasking, you will be efficient at solving all guest enquiries and all with a smile and infectious personality!
