What you’ll be doing
A Level 6 apprenticeship in rail and rail systems equips you for a career in the engineering design, installation, operation, and maintenance of essential railway systems.
You’ll join the Electrification & Plant LV team, focusing on signalling power, points heating, trackside equipment supplies, earthing and bonding, level crossing power supplies, and trackside lighting. Your projects will span from feasibility studies and early optioneering to detailed design. Additionally, you’ll assist with emergency designs to address any low voltage electrical faults on the railway.
Your role will involve surveying trackside assets and monitoring live equipment up to 1000V. All necessary training and personal protective equipment will be provided.
This apprenticeship offers a blend of academic learning and hands-on experience, preparing you for a dynamic and evolving industry.
