Residential Carers: You will be responsible to the House manager and form part of a Trauma informed team providing the highest quality care experience direct to young people with a range of needs connected to their individual life experiences and childhood adversities.
Child protection will be forefront of your practice; you will take personal responsibility for responding, recording and reporting.
Residential carers will have:
* Knowledge and understanding of developmental needs
* Experience of liaising with families and outside agencies (where appropriate)
* Good communication skills, ability to engage and form positive working relationships based on trust and delivered and evidenced through professional practice
* Ability to produce clear and concise written reports
* Ability to support individuals when necessary, remaining calm and objective
* HNC in social care and or SVQ3 in care and or an equivalent qualification or willingness to achieve.
* Commitment to ‘Keeping the Promise”
* Knowledge of GIRFEC and SHANARRI

Woodlands House is a 4-bed bungalow in Alexandria, West Dumbarton. The house is set within a wooded area offering privacy, we have access to local parks and Loch Lomond National Park where our young people can have access to new experiences.

Due to the nature of this role, it is necessary for all staff working with young people to be subject to a PVG check (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) by Disclosure Scotland and achieve membership to the scheme prior to commencing employment at Benesse care.
