Company Overview
Our client is a well-established, innovative, international real estate and infrastructure consultancy. They offer independent advice, transforming performance to safeguard the commercial interests of their clients embarking on investment programmes across real estate, infrastructure and natural resources. They also project manage and cost manage large construction projects, providing key expertise to ensure they are delivered on time and to budget.
Due to the number of high-profile projects they are currently working on, they are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their existing team in Manchester. They are currently experiencing an exciting period of growth which comes with a multitude of high-value projects across residential, defence and healthcare, banking, and data centre construction.
The role
The successful Assistant PM will start by supporting the Regional Director on internal business processes, helping to coordinate internal resources for their major projects. The goal is to help the team build more efficient working processes to support the team's growth aspiration. Once established, the role will then develop into a Construction Advisory Project Manager role where you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious projects in Manchester, including social housing decarbonisation valued at £1 billion, new hospital builds (£1 billion) and the other sectors listed above.
Structured training and support is available and encouraged for staff to achieve MCIOB, MRICS or MAPM and progression is on offer and actively encouraged.
The company also offers international relocation to one of its many offices across the world once you have become a proven and qualified Project Manager, if desired.
Requirements
* Project Management experience and ideally working towards professional qualifications and memberships.
* Experience working with either a consultancy or contractor within the construction industry is desired but not essential for this role.
* Ideally hold a degree in a construction or engineering discipline but not essential if you can demonstrate experience in project management.
* Can showcase further development towards project management qualifications.
* Able to work on own initiative with strong motivation skills.
* Strong communication skills.
* Professional attitude and approach to work and clients is a must.
