As part of our friendly and supportive office-based team in Branksome, you will work collaboratively with the broker manager, compliance and sales team to ensure the highest level of service for our clients. About the job:
Job Type: Full-time, permanent position
Salary: £25,000 + commission
Location: Office based in Branksome Dorset
As the Sales Consultant, you will play a key role in promoting and cross-selling protection insurance products to our existing customer base. You will also be responsible for managing policy renewals, ensuring clients receive the best possible advice and service tailored to their insurance needs. In this role, you will be empowered to take initiative, drive sales, and contribute to the continued growth of our business.
Key responsibilities:
1. Building and developing relationships with existing clients to identify insurance opportunities.
2. Provide expert guidance on protection insurance policies, ensuring customers receive the best advice for their needs.
3. Secure business renewals and explore cross-selling opportunities.
4. Attend networking events to develop new business opportunities.
5. Promote the best image for the company through professional behaviour and adhere to company standards and procedures.
6. Maintain a thorough understanding of the private medical and life insurance markets, keeping up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments.
About you
It is essential that you:
1. Previous experience in protection insurance, either within a broker or insurer environment, in a customer service or sales-focused role.
2. Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
3. A proven track record of success in sales or account management within the insurance sector.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients professionally and effectively.
5. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise tasks efficiently.
6. A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
7. A confident telephone manner and excellent interpersonal skills.

1. Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
2. Professional, adaptable, and able to respond to team objectives at short notice.
3. Self-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
4. Passionate about building great customer relationships, developing new business, and fostering long-term client relationships.
Desirable education and skills (not essential)
1. Experience in protection insurance, working in either a broker or insurer environment.
2. Computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
