We are looking for an Employment Taxes Manager to join our team. We are flexible on location within our Scottish and Newcastle offices. Job Purpose: As a Manager in the Employer Services team, you will support the senior team members by overseeing day to day management of employment tax compliance and advisory projects and client delivery, including supporting and managing junior team members. The Employment Taxes Manager will be responsible for (but not limited to): Advisory & Strategic Support Support on employment tax advisory services (e.g., benefits-in-kind, IR35, termination payments, salary sacrifice arrangements, CIS, NMW) Advise clients on tax implications of employment tax obligations and impact on reward strategies Support cost reduction solutions for reward, such as salary sacrifice Compliance & Reporting Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of all employment tax filings (e.g., PAYE, NIC, P11Ds, PSA and CIS) Manage HMRC correspondence and enquiries relating to employment tax matters Monitor changes in legislation and ensure client’s processes are compliant Process Improvement & Management Day to day management of junior team members and workload Project Work Support on employment tax aspects of wider projects such as corporate acquisitions and PAYE reviews Manage employment tax due diligence for any corporate transactions involving personnel Support on employment tax advisory projects, such as implementation of new employee benefits systems Training & Awareness Provide training and updates both internal and external on employment tax developments and best practices About You: Professional Qualifications CTA, ACA, ICAS, or equivalent tax/accounting qualification Strong technical knowledge of UK employment taxes and related legislation Experience Proven experience in an employment tax role, ideally within a large or accountancy firm Experience handling employment tax audits or HMRC enquiries Skills Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Ability to work proactively and take initiative. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to technical excellence. Collaborative and team-oriented with a growth mindset. Why JC?
