Job summary Following re-accreditation by JACIE at the end of 2024, the Clinical Haematology department are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Quality Manager to lead the next cycle of accreditation and secure continued JACIE accredited status for the future of the Stem Cell Transplant Programme. The Quality Manager will work in close partnership with the Stem Cell Transplant Director, Stem Cell Lead Nurses and Data Manager to ensure that the Stem cell programme is fully supported through the accreditation cycles. Within this role, the QM will have the opportunity to influence the direction of the future of this service and the quality elements that relate to it. The QM will have the opportunity to work with colleagues within the D&S Division to facilitate the introduction of an electronic Quality Management System, and to lead the implementation of the new system within Haematology. As well as opportunities to lead on JACIE, the QM will also have opportunities to work with the OHPCI General Manager and Deputy General Manager on Quality projects within the Haematology department. Main duties of the job The Quality Manager (QM) will be a key member of the Haematology department responsible for the maintenance of a quality management system in order to retain JACIE (Joint Accreditation Committee-ISCT & EBMT) accreditation. They will be the lead for developing a system to ensure that the Gloucestershire Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant Service (GHSCT) becomes progressively more effective in quality terms, meets HSCT regulatory standards and maintains accreditation requirements. The QM will establish the data and information requirement for JACIE Standards and Accreditation. This will involve the design and development of appropriate new models and processes for data management, including leading on the development and maintenance of an electronic Quality Management System (e.g. Q-Pulse, iPassport etc). The QM will also have opportunity to help advance the workings of the department by utilising the quality improvement data and information that has been gathered. Alongside the JACIE element of the QM role, there will be opportunities for the post holder to be involved in quality improvement projects in the Haematology department. These quality improvement projects will interface with work being undertaken by the OHPCI DGM & GM in line with the requirements and demands of the Haematology service.
