CNC Setter
Overview of the Role
* Working Hours – 37 hours per week
* Shift Pattern – 2 shifts, rotating dayshift and backshift
Shift - Dayshift – Monday to Thursday 06:00 to 14:15, Friday 06:00 to 12:45
Shift - Backshift – Monday to Thursday 14:15 to 22:30, Friday 12:45 to 19:30
* Starting Salary – Base £27,500 per annum plus 15% shift allowance, overtime available

Possessing a proactive attitude, you will work as part of a multi-skilled team, across two shifts. Reporting to the Production supervisor, you will work in conjunction with the Engineering team to produce technical components to customer drawing and provide operational training across the departmental processes.
Duties will include supervising and monitoring a range of vertical and Horizontal CNC machines during
production cycles to ensure parts are completed to customer specified tolerances, on time and in full.
Responsibilities will include the setting and adjustment of tooling and part programs to account for tooling wear and apply problem solving techniques to ensure process uptime is maximised.
The completion of an apprenticeship, and a proven track record operating and programming CNC machines is essential for this role. A knowledge of modern machining strategies/tooling and CAD/CAM experience would also be advantageous.

CNC Technician
Responsibilities
* Complete daily PPM checks
* Be competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings
* Setting of tooling.
* Complete full production cycles of parts from setup to machining whilst monitoring quality adherence throughout.
* Editing and adjusting pre-approved programmes due to part deviations or tooling wear.
* Competent using a range of measuring equipment, inclusive of digital verniers, internal bore micrometres and gauges.
* Troubleshoot issues on the CNC machines and provide feedback to rectify issues.
* Training of fellow operators and/or departmental apprentices
* Working to identify and implement process improvements

Qualifications/Experience
* Apprentice trained to NVQ level 3 minimum in an engineering discipline
* 3+ Years of experience in operating and programming Vertical and/or Horizontal CNC machines
* A knowledge of modern tooling and machining techniques
* Knowledge on Mazatrol, Fanuc, Heidenhaim or Winmax operating systems
* CAD experience (beneficial)
* Overhead crane experience (beneficial)
