An exciting opportunity has arisen within Trauma and Orthopaedics for a Clinical Practice Educator.
The role of the Clinical Practice Educator is a rewarding role as it allows the employee to facilitate the learning in others whilst observing their clinical and personal development and progression through their careers. It is vital that the clinical practice educator demonstrates and promotes high-quality care at all times to ensure patient safety.
Main Duties of the Job
As a key member of the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, you will be joining an exceptional team working together to help our patients to stay healthy, when they need it most.
Job Responsibilities
Typical duties of the clinical practice educator include overseeing and delivering education, training, and development to nursing staff (of all bands) and working with the student teams to facilitate learning of students within the department. Day-to-day work varies depending on the needs of the team and the service, therefore it is important that clinical practice educators can plan and allocate their workload accordingly.
Ideally, we are looking for a candidate who has orthopaedic experience to be able to deliver this role to the highest standard.
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday, flexible working, occasional weekends. Working patterns can be discussed at interview.

This is a fixed-term contract from April 2025 until June 2026. For current NHS employees, this post could be a secondment opportunity.

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year per annum pro rata
