This dedicated role will work in partnership with the NCIC Occupational Health service to deliver person centred and compassionate psychological care and therapeutic interventions to individuals, managers, and teams in the workplace.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced psychological practitioner/Psychologist who is able to offer a number of therapeutic interventions to staff when they need specialist support.
You will have demonstrable skills and expertise in successfully delivering individual and group interventions to support a number of psychological conditions in a range of acute and community settings.

Main duties of the job
As a specialist clinician and expert within your discipline the post holder will be required to:
1. Provide a highly specialised psychological therapy and assessment for NCIC Staff as part of the Occupational Health & Wellbeing Service, in line with the best available evidence.
2. Provide psychological training e.g. CMT to health service staff, including managers and teams across the Trust as required by the service.
3. Provide clinical supervision and support to other psychological practitioners working within the service.
4. Develop and engage in audit, research and service evaluation.
The service places a high value on compassion towards self, colleagues and service users. The post holder would be expected to work in accordance with these principles.
The main duties of the job are found in the Job description and are based in clearly defined occupational policies, protocols, procedures and codes of conduct. The post holder will be expected to work independently, using their discretion about when to refer to their manager.

Person Specification
Training and Qualifications
Essential
1. Registered with the regulatory body eg. BABPC or HCPC as:
2. Clinical Psychologist HCPC Registered Practitioner Psychologist. BPS Accredited Clinical Psychology Training
3. Or: Health or Counselling Psychologist HCPC registered Health or Counselling Practitioner Psychologist, with minimum of two years clinical practice in working with patients with health problems and long term conditions
4. Or: Cognitive Behavioural Therapist With completed appropriate training in CBT therapy, eg Diploma, accredited by the BABCP, and equivalent to a Doctoral degree or higher level of professional knowledge, training and experience
Desirable
1. Training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of applied psychological interventions
2. Post-qualification training in evidence based therapies eg. EMDR, CFT, ACT.
3. Core Profession (eg. Mental Health Nurse, Practitioner Psychologist or Mental Health Social Worker
Experience
Essential
1. Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across a range of care settings, e.g. outpatient, community, primary care and in patient settings
2. Experience of working with patients with wide range of psychological problems, e.g. community mental health, long term conditions
3. Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, typically across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
Desirable
1. Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision.
