Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs? Aspire People is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged child with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) who is non-verbal and requires personal care. This is a full-time position based at a welcoming school in Smethwick.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide 1:1 support to a child with ASD, helping them engage in classroom activities.
2. Assist with communication and social development for a non-verbal child.
3. Deliver personal care and support the child's individual needs.
4. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure tailored learning.
5. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For:
1. Experience working with children with Autism and/or additional needs (desired but not essential).
2. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting children's development.
3. Ability to provide personal care in a respectful and compassionate manner.
4. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
5. A positive and proactive attitude.
