About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced leader in healthcare to take on the role of Head of Care.
As the successful candidate, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the health care needs of individuals, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and leading a dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high-quality care and supporting individuals with brain injuries to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the health care needs of individuals and maintain the highest standards of care delivery.
* Lead and direct the rehabilitation support teams in delivering person-centered care.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and relevant legislation.
* Lead assessments and referrals, and coordinate admission and discharge processes for individuals in the service.
* Lead on health promotion and ensure the delivery of evidence-based clinical care and safety.
* Oversee and ensure high-quality care, including leading audits, managing medication systems, and supporting quality assurance initiatives.
* Deputize for the Service Manager as required, ensuring smooth operations and continuity of care.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate care and support plans, ensuring that they are evidence-based and tailored to individual needs.
* Support training and development for the team, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Requirements:
* Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (RGN).
* Experience of managing a large team and working within rehabilitation or brain injury services.
* Proven experience of managing complex care/rehabilitation services.
* Experience of leading assessments and care planning, and delivering clinical interventions.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection process.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external agencies.
