We have an exciting opportunity for two enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced Speech and Language Therapists to join our band 6 rotations at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. The posts include four rotations across the specialty areas of Neurology & Stroke, Critical Care, Health Services for Elderly People and outlier wards, allowing the post holder to gain skills across a number of clinical specialities.
Main duties of the job
You will be joining a team of 11.2 SLT's and you will be based within the different interdisciplinary teams during each rotation. You will be well supported with opportunities for peer support and access to joint working with clinical leads in each area and you will be offered opportunities for personal and professional development. The Speech and Language Therapy team run both videofluoroscopy and FEES services which you will have an opportunity to participate in.
The Royal Free has excellent clinical outcomes and the therapies team has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and evidence-based practice.

Education & professional Qualifications
Essential
* Degree/graduate diploma or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy
* Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a speech and language therapist
* Certificated post-graduate courses or equivalent in-house training in clinical specialty areas
Desirable
* Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists
* Membership of an RCSLT Clinical Excellence Network (CEN)

* Post-graduate work experience as an SLT with an adult acquired population within the acute hospital setting
* Experience of working in an MDT
* Practised as an SLT at Band 5 or above

* Knowledge and experience of a range of approaches for the management of speech/swallowing/language and cognitive communication deficits
* Experience of utilising and referring patients for instrumental swallow assessment
* Good understanding of relevant RCSLT and wider clinical guidelines relevant to rotations

* Supervision of B5 SLTs, assistants and/or students
