Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a busy environment to join our frontline People Services Team. You must have a great customer service ethos and be able to manage a busy and varied workload to meet deadlines. Supporting the wider team, you will provide first-line support for internal and external inquiries in line with Council Policies and Employment Legislation.
You will have excellent time management and be adaptable to learn new systems and processes. Key Responsibilities
* Delivering excellent customer service, and providing support on the handling and response to queries both internally and externally.
* Utilising the People Team Service Desk and HR Management System to support people services-related administrative activities across the organisation and to ensure data accuracy.
* Undertaking daily administrative tasks in line with agreed processes such as recruitment, DBS and compliance checks, employment changes, and new starter onboarding.
* Providing effective, high-quality administrative support and customer service to internal and external customers and the People Services function in response to the varying workflows and changing priorities across the team.
* Supporting People Operations tasks, including generating contracts of employment, raising contractual change letters, administering the new starter and leaver processes and the preparation of information packs and other paperwork.
* Processing of new starters, leavers, and employment-related changes, such as a change to working hours.
* Providing support to employees and managers by phone and by email, and providing advice and guidance in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Set up and maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements.
* Dealing with payments and invoicing for the team, ensuring payments are tracked and monitored.
* To assist in other People Services-related functions where required.
