PR Account Director - Maternity Cover
We're seeking an experienced Account Director to join our team on a 1-year maternity cover contract, offering the opportunity to lead and manage a diverse portfolio of clients across various sectors. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our account managers and executives to deliver exceptional results, primarily for B2B clients.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE/ATTRIBUTES
* Proven experience of having worked in a PR Account Director or similar senior PR account management role for a year or more.
* Demonstrable ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
* Ability to develop and implement effective strategies that align with client objectives and address complex challenges.
* Experience in leading and mentoring account teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
* Ability to analyse market trends, client data and campaign performance to inform strategic decisions.
* Knowledge of performance evaluation techniques and metrics.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with an aptitude for fostering long-term relationships.
* Outstanding organisational and leadership skills.
* Capacity to adapt to changing client needs and market conditions.

ACCOUNT DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of allocated accounts and account teams.
* Developing and managing the overall strategy for each of your allocated accounts – in line with the client objectives.
* Ensuring client expectations are met and managed – in line with the budgetary parameters of the account.
* Dealing with any positive or negative client issues on allocated accounts.
* Running the status report meeting for your accounts.
* Attending and leading allocated client meetings.
* Maintaining and developing a wide network of contacts within the media and relevant fields.
* Facilitating a proportion of the billable work on each allocated account.
* Handling client reporting procedures, i.e. audits, for allocated clients.
* Internally signing off all client facing content for your clients.
* Ensuring all client work is covered on allocated accounts during periods of annual leave.
* Providing regular account updates / reports to the head of PR.
* Managing allocated member(s) of staff.
* Supporting on new business activity, including pitching and proposal development.
* Mentoring/line managing junior (to your position) members of staff, if required.
