Job Description JOB TITLE: Junior Infrastructure Specialist SALARY: £35,340 LOCATION(S): Leeds, Wellington Place. HOURS : Full-time WORKING PATTERN : Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. About this Opportunity As a Junior Infrastructure Specialist your focus will be on learning the skills to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure resources, whilst gaining practical experience. You’ll be working on basic infrastructure configuration activities under the guidance of Senior Infrastructure Specialists. You’ll have responsibility for managing third-party network access, remote access, firewalls, and the firewall triage process. Working closely with senior Infrastructure Specialists you’ll be working to understand requirements and specifications, collaborating with the team to identify and fix defects, and assisting in the maintenance, security, and support of existing infrastructure resources This role requires experience of working with network infrastructure and a good understanding of technologies used for third-party remote access, such as firewalls, VPN gateways, and load balancers. Key Responsibilities: Network Management: Oversee third-party network access and remote access solutions, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity. Firewall Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot firewalls, including handling the firewall triage process to resolve issues promptly. Automation: Utilise automation tools and scripting to transform simple tasks into automated processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual workload. Data Presentation: Collate information and present it in various dashboards, such as PowerBI, to provide clear and actionable insights. Collaboration Tools: Use Confluence and Jira workflow toolsets to drive collaboration and project delivery, ensuring smooth and efficient team operations.
