Midday Supervisor - Stone Church of England Combined School

This rewarding role involves supervising the children while they eat and play throughout the lunch break; setting up tables and chairs, cleaning tables and chairs and sweeping floors.

Salary Type: Bucks pay
Salary details: Fixed Term Contract September 2024 to 31st August 2025 on Bucks Pay Range 1a Point 5 pro rata 38 weeks per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 11.30am to 1.30pm

About the role
The post holders will be responsible for:
1. Supervising pupils eating meals.
2. Ensuring pupils eat their lunch in a sensible and appropriate way and do not share food.
3. Supervising play on the playground.
4. Offering and instigating play activities in the playground, and indoors in bad weather.
5. Encouraging standards of good behaviour by dealing with children in a positive, firm and fair manner.
6. Reminding pupils of the school rules.
7. Monitoring children in and out of the school building.
8. Assisting children (particularly the younger ones) with opening packaging of food and drink items.
9. Dealing with accidents in the playground, classrooms and dining hall and recording information appropriately.
About you
Communicate well with children. Make an active part in managing and leading outside play, promoting good relationships and positive behaviour. Comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the School Business Manager. Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school. Attend training or meetings as required. Have a sense of humour and work well within a team.
