Job summary A new and exciting position has arisen within our cross counties CAMHS for a Professional Lead Nurse. You will be a NMC registered Nurse who has extensive leadership experience working in childrens health services and has undertaken recent direct work with children, young people and their families. You will work with all CAMHS teams across Herefordshire and Worcestershire providing professional Leadership, Education, Supervision and Training to the nursing workforce. You will lead on quality & safety and be key in developing a robust nursing workforce. You will work in collaboration with clinical and operational leads to achieve the strategic aims within CAMHS. You will undertake a defined amount of direct clinical work with children and young people. The clinical work will be within the Worcestershire core CAMHS whilst the leadership elements of the role will cover bases across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The successful candidate will be sited at a base most convenient for them with travel expected, travel expenses are claimed back through the trusts travel expenses policy. Main duties of the job You will provide clinical leadership and oversight of our Single Point of Access (SPA) service. The role will include you clinically leading and managing complaints within CAMHS and taking an active role in the response to critical incidents ensuring learning is shared across all professional groups. You will contribute to MDTs where appropriate to support the care planning of CYP. This role will require you to be highly visible and accessible, providing advice and guidance on clinical and professional issues including risks. You will develop and maintain a robust process for the coordination and monitoring of undergraduate Nursing practice placements within the service. Not only will you provide training and supervision to the wider workforce but you will receive specialist supervision and support and will be encouraged to undertake continued professional development. As the lead nurse you will work closely with Deputy Directors of Nursing and Therapies to ensure CAMHS Nursing practices work within the NMC and Professional Body Codes of Conduct and support revalidation processes and support the corporate Nursing and quality team in managing Professional Conduct and Practice issues.
