We are currently looking for a Clinical Prescribing Nurse Manager to join our team. We are currently made up of 6 GP Partners, 2 Advance Nurses Practitioners 2 Practice Nurses and 2 HCA/Phlebotomists; we also have 2 experienced pharmacists, 2 pharmacy technicians, CPN and Physio, and the practice is run by our proactive management and enthusiastic admin team.
The practice is a supportive group that encourages clinical staff to pursue their individual interests, as well as maintaining a good work/life balance. Daily protected breaks and our friendly team mean that our coffee room is often filled with laughter and home-made cakes.
Whitburn Group Medical Practice is housed within the multi disciplinary Community Health Centre, with Pharmacy on site and access to Health Visitor, Midwives, Sexual Health Clinics and is a well-equipped practice has a patient list size of 12,500, with carparking and located in the centre of Whitburn which is easily commutable from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the surrounding countryside.

Job Description
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to supervise and coordinate our nursing staff as well as running their own triage clinic.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient care, ensuring adherence to established policies, and fostering an environment of patient-centred care.
Clinical Nurse Managers duties include ensuring nursing operational standards are met, participating in performance evaluation, hiring and training staff, and keeping abreast of the latest developments in the nursing field.

Responsibilities
1. Overseeing patient care and ensuring high standards of care are maintained
2. Coordinating nursing staff and their schedules, ensuring coverage at all times
3. Hiring and training new nursing staff members
4. Conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and managing any disciplinary issues
5. Establishing and monitoring budgets for the nursing department
6. Implementing and managing policies, protocols, and procedures to maintain nursing practice standards
7. Addressing any patient or staff complaints in relation to nurses and resolving problems as they arise
8. Ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards
9. Participating in professional development activities and encouraging staff to do the same
10. Manage and lead nursing staff, providing guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback
11. Ensure all nursing operations comply with laws and regulations
12. Develop and implement policies, standards, and protocols for the nursing staff
13. Participate in recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of staff
14. Ensure a high standard of patient care and nursing services
15. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations
16. Manage patient complaints and implement appropriate solutions
17. Monitor and control budget and resources
18. Keep records of nursing staff shifts, duties, and patients care
19. Stay informed about latest advancements in nursing
Qualifications
20. Proven experience as a registered nurse
21. Experience in clinical management or a similar role
22. Thorough knowledge of nursing regulations and best practices
23. Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
24. Good understanding of budgeting and performance management
25. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
26. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
27. BSc degree in Nursing or relevant field
28. Valid nursing and CPR certification
The successful candidate will be employed to work 37 hours per week over 5 days, Salary dependent on experience, but in the region of Band7(6) to Band 8A(1) AFc equivalent.
