Position
An opportunity has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support the Director of Acute Services, with opportunities for professional development.
Hours: 37 Hours per Week
Fixed Term/Secondment: Please note this job is a fixed term/secondment for 3 months.
All candidates should ensure they have prior approval from their line manager for a 3 month secondment, with permission to start on 30 September 2024 .
What you will do:
You will provide dedicated, professional and comprehensive administration support to the Director to fulfil their role by providing high level business and administrative support progressing actions on their behalf, efficiently and to a high standard. Your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the Director’s office.
You will work closely with the Director of Acute Services, as well as senior staff across the organisation, and will have strong links with a range of stakeholders, including Scottish Government colleagues.
Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will be able to deal effectively with a number of simultaneous tasks, often dealing with highly complex and at times contentious matters, and making informed judgements. You will have the ability, commitment and judgment to ensure that deadlines and actions are delivered whilst being frequently interrupted.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages is essential, as is experience of complex diary management and attending meetings for the purpose of minute taking.
A full Driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential to this role.
