Description Grade 8- £47532-£51522pa 12 month Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity London Borough of Havering is looking for a talented and experienced public health strategist to join its Public Health Team on a 12-month fixed term contract. About the Job For this particular post, we are seeking candidates with demonstrable experience of working in the areas of children and young people and/or sexual health. As a Public Health Strategist, you will apply your knowledge to provide specialist advice and support across these areas, contributing to the delivery of priority work streams. You should be familiar with interpreting surveillance data and information, and be confident in communicating and presenting complex information to diverse audiences in a way that different groups can understand. About You You will have demonstrable previous experience working in the areas of Children and Young People and/or Sexual Health. With a passion for improving population health and wellbeing, you will be enthusiastic about building and working in partnership with stakeholders and communities across Havering. You should have a first degree in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience. You should have sound knowledge of public health policy and strategy, needs assessments, literature reviews, epidemiology, health protection and health inequalities, and be able to evidence experience of applying this knowledge in practice.
