About your role:
A full time vacancy has arisen for a Deputy Security Supervisor to join our Security Service at Burnley campus. The successful candidate will be required to work a rotating shift pattern of 12 hour days and nights, followed by 4x rest, supporting the duty Supervisor in providing a highly visible and professional service 24/7/365.
About you:
Candidates are expected to have experience in a senior security-based role with a proven record of providing high levels of customer service and leading a team; as well as knowledge in the use, basic care and maintenance of security equipment, technology and of legislation relevant to the role. A flexible approach to duties and hours is required to ensure supervision of the teams and sufficient resources. Attendance at other campuses may be required from time-to-time. The ability to prepare accurate reports; task and fulfil any necessary follow up actions; be a clear communicator with the ability to motivate and lead a small team and liaise with internal and external colleagues to share information appropriately, are also essential.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a proactive and interactive security service with the ability to effectively utilise resources to support the supervisor in providing consistently high standards of service to exceed customer expectation.
Candidates must also be able to remain calm, diffuse confrontation and maintain confidentiality in sometimes demanding situations. Candidates will have a valid driving license and first aid certificate (or show commitment to obtain such).
