Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

I am currently working with a welcoming and vibrant primary school where every child matters. The school are commitment to inclusion and excellence ensures all students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The school are seeking an exceptional SENCO to join their team and drive their vision for outstanding SEN provision.
The Role
As a SENCO, you will:
Lead and manage the provision for children with special educational needs.
Develop and implement effective strategies to support learning and development.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents, and external agencies.
Monitor progress and ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
Deliver training and guidance to staff to promote inclusive teaching practices.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Qualified: Holds QTS and ideally holds or is willing to complete the National Award for SEN Coordination.
Experienced: Demonstrated experience in working with children with SEND, ideally in a primary school setting.
Knowledgeable: A thorough understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and current legislation.
Organised: Skilled at managing workloads, prioritising tasks, and maintaining accurate records.
Compassionate: A strong advocate for children with SEND, with excellent communication skills to build trust with pupils, families, and colleagues.
