Training Responsibilities 1. Work under the direction of the Digital Matron, maintaining positive working relationships with the Christie Education team and Digital Services teams. 2. Design and deliver a flexible range of Microsoft 365 training programmes tailored to meet the varied needs of end-users across Trust sites. 3. Conduct and update training needs assessments to evaluate staff proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, ensuring learning programmes address diverse levels of IT literacy. 4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to identify their training requirements, adapting delivery styles and materials to suit individuals and group dynamics. 5. Plan and schedule training courses in coordination with colleagues in the Education Team. 6. Deliver training through multiple formats, including classroom-based teaching, virtual sessions, one-to-one coaching, small group workshops, and on-the-job training. 7. Ensure all training aligns with legal and ethical obligations, including the Data Protection Act, Health & Safety legislation, Freedom of Information, and Trust policies on system access and security. 8. Handle complex questions and challenges in the training environment, referring issues to senior team members if required. 9. Work with the Digital Training Team to create online learning resources, such as e-guides and e-learning content. 10. Develop and manage a "Superuser" system within departments, providing training, coaching, and support to designated staff members. 11. Assess participants' competencies to ensure training objectives are achieved and implement continuous improvement strategies. 12. Maintain accurate records of training sessions and outcomes, supporting the planning of future programmes and providing reports as needed. 13. Prepare training environments, ensuring all equipment, software, and materials are available and used safely. This includes setting up and installing IT equipment such as PCs and projectors. 14. Participate in Trust-wide and medical staff induction programmes to promote effective use of Microsoft 365. Other Duties 1. Maintain high-quality record-keeping and data management when not delivering training, preparing Trust-level reports on the impact of training programmes. 2. Test complex equipment to ensure it is fit for purpose during training sessions. 3. Identify areas for improvement or adaptation in training materials, environments, or equipment and recommend appropriate solutions. 4. Represent or support the department at internal and external meetings, groups, or forums. 5. Provide guidance and support to colleagues to improve their knowledge and understanding, sharing your skills and expertise. 6. Network with digital training professionals across the Northwest public sector to stay informed of best practices and advancements in IT training. 7. Undertake personal development to maintain up-to-date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the role. 8. Participate in post-implementation reviews and business change audits, using lessons learned to refine processes and training programmes. 9. Manage your workload effectively, including timetabling, delivering training sessions, and producing timely reports. 10. Handle an unpredictable workload, such as responding to changes in priorities or delivering training to large staff groups within tight timescales, including out-of-hours sessions where required. 11. Participate in the Trusts performance appraisal process and undertake any additional training or development identified as necessary for the role.
