Job Description
The salary for this role is £31,100. Onsite working is expected for 5 days a week, however, we actively support requests for flexible working.
This role is to be based at the following site: Culham, Oxfordshire.
This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS), including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data.
The Role

As Service Support Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring business-critical activities in relation to Road Sweeping, Pest Control, Grounds Maintenance, and Centralised Vehicle and Forklift Contracts are maintained. These contracts are key contracts in terms of Health and Wellbeing for all Site Occupants and crucial vehicle management for the UKAEA's departments which requires diligent monitoring and managing. You will ensure that all key activities relating to the management of these contracts, in terms of services supplied to the Campus are carried out in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Key Accountabilities:
Contract Management (CM)
* Manage contracts for Road Sweeping, Pest Control, Carcass Waste Disposal (2 separate contracts), and the UKAEA's Forklift Truck provision.
* Assist the Contract Project Manager with the day-to-day running of the contract within the Terms of Reference set by the Contract Manager (CM) to ensure that the contract is monitored to the correct standard in line with Government Commercial College Foundation Level Contract Management.
* Work with the Supplier to ensure contract specification is met.
Management
* Manage the Centralisation of Site Vehicles recorded within B&EMDs records, ensuring all maintenance, MOT's, Road Tax, servicing etc., are carried out within timeframes, and that legal requirements are always met to ensure the fleet is fully operational. Check DVLA and liaise with Hire and Lease companies, where applicable.
Carry out additional duties as directed by any member of the B&EM Soft Services Group or Site Manager to include one-off projects in relation to CM / CSv or Centralisation of Site Vehicles.
Qualifications
* Significant and demonstrable knowledge and experience in Contract Management and Supervision in Facilities Management, Soft Services.
* Proven experience in organisational and administration skills and ability to manage own workload.
* A proven ability to problem solve ensuring that all relevant parties are consulted on the solution.
* An Operational knowledge of Pest Control and Arboricultural Services, in particular in relation to Health and Safety and Animal Welfare.
* Knowledge and understanding of British Pest Control Association standards (BPCS).
* Working towards or has completed Government Commercial College, Beyond Foundation modules.
