About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting rent and service charge income, providing a coordinated income collection service and achieving lowest possible levels of current rent and former tenancy arrears.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect rent and service charge income in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate records of all income transactions.
* Communicate effectively with tenants and other stakeholders regarding income collection.
* Work collaboratively with the Income Manager and housing management team to achieve arrears targets.
* Analyse data and identify areas for improvement in income collection processes.
About You
We are seeking an experienced individual with a strong understanding of the legal framework for housing and Pre-action Protocols. Knowledge and understanding of welfare benefits, specifically Universal Credit and Housing Benefits is also essential.
* Minimum 2 years' experience working in rent income collection for a housing association or local authority.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
