About the Role: The Learning and Development Manager will have responsibility for the management, coordination, and administration of a range of learning and development activities and projects as directed by the HR Manager and Meals divisional Learning and Development Manager. Key responsibilities will include: Be the first point of contact for learning and development queries at site level and be responsible for ensuring all training activities are carried out in an efficient and effective manner. Delivering learning events, including inductions, carrying out learning needs and skills assessments. Successfully implement and champion the site wide L&D strategy. Ensure regulatory training is delivered and maintained (covering areas such as Health & Safety, regulatory compliance, food safety, customer/retailer requirements) ensuring that we are always audit ready. Ensuring all L&D activities result in the ongoing development of our people, helping to build high performing teams, increase staff engagement, and improve retention. Deliver structured L&D programmes and competency-based frameworks for colleagues at all levels, ensuring they are provided with the technical and behavioural/soft-skills required to help them improve and open up future career opportunities. Continue looking for new, improved ways of training, exploring new methodology and methods of delivery. Ensuring that training records and systems are accurate, updated and maintained. Responsibility for the site L&D training budget. About You: We're looking for somebody who is passionate about L&D and has the following skills and experience: Prior experience of delivering against L&D strategy and initiatives, preferably in a manufacturing environment (although we welcome applications from all backgrounds). Able to develop and deliver operational training frameworks as well as less structured learning & development activities. Demonstrable experience of measuring and assessing the impact of L&D initiatives. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to influence and get 'buy-in' from colleagues at all levels. Flexible and agile in your approach. Proven track record of developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Level 4 Food Safety, with the ability to deliver Level 3 (training can be provided). Level 4 HACCP, with the ability to deliver Level 3 (training can be provided). IOSH (training can be provided).
