This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative and highly committed teaching team at the recently opened Free School; Bluecoat Trent Academy. We invite applications for the post of Teacher of Religious Studies from outstanding, enthusiastic and successful teachers with a proven ability to teach inspirational lessons to our students. Interest from Early Careers Teachers is also welcomed.
We are now in our third year of opening therefore our staff team is still comparatively small. The successful applicant will therefore have the opportunity to work closely with SLT and colleagues from across the Trust, so a desire to collaborate is welcomed. Equally as important will be the aspiration to be part of our visionary staff team and growing school community. We are looking for teachers who have the ambition to shape the school into an outstanding provider. Candidates should consider the school’s ethos and values to ensure these align with their own. This is an exciting time to join Bluecoat Trent as we design the curriculum for our first Key Stage 4 cohort and prepare to move into our brand new school premises.
Candidates should pay attention to the job description/person specification and explain within their application how they meet the criteria, whilst also describing what they will bring to the post from their own knowledge and experience.
The role will be based at the Trust’s Bluecoat Trent Academy but the post holders may at any time be required to support or work at any of the sites within Archway Learning Trust.
The successful candidate will be committed to the students and academy life and will possess the ability to communicate effectively and be able to raise the standards of learning for all of the students with whom they are required to work.
In return we can offer:
1. Archway benefits to include shopping discounts and competitions
2. A free and confidential employee assistance programme offering counselling and advice
3. Access to Teachers’ Pensions
4. Access to discounted travel schemes
5. Cycle to work scheme
6. Comprehensive training and support
7. Opportunities to develop new skills and progress your career
8. Eye care voucher scheme
9. Access to e-learning and development
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to the satisfactory completion of an enhanced DBS check, Barred List check, the receipt of satisfactory references, online searches and any other statutory checks that are required for the post. We are an equal opportunities employer.
