Purpose of the role:
To design, develop, and implement solutions to complex business problems, collaborating with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements while balancing technology risks against business delivery.
Accountabilities:
* Design and develop solutions as products that can evolve, meeting business requirements that align with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
* Apply appropriate workload placement strategies and maximize the benefit of cloud capabilities such as elasticity, serverless, and containerization.
* Incorporate best practice designs that meet the Bank’s resiliency expectations.
* Balance risks and controls to deliver agreed business and technology value.
* Adopt standardized solutions where applicable and contribute to their evolution if no standard solutions fit.
* Provide fault finding and performance issue support to operational teams.
* Conduct solution design impact assessments in terms of risk, capacity, and cost impact.
* Develop architecture inputs required to comply with the bank’s governance processes.
