Job Role: Civil Engineer Job Location: Norwich, UK Salary: ( up to) £Competitive About the role JMS Group employ 50 staff undertaking civil & structural engineering designs and has been serving the Construction Industry for over 25 years. We are looking to recruit a talented Civil Engineer to join our growing civils team working on a variety of infrastructure projects. Working alongside colleagues within the local office as well as those in other parts of the Group, you will be encouraged to deliver highways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients and sectors. As part of civils team, you will be involved from initial scheme concept through to detailed design and construction stages. Responsibilities Use the latest design software to create and manage designs. Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders. Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members, programming deliverables, and monitoring progress. Qualifications: We are looking for an ambitious, self-motivated and driven experienced Civil Engineer able to meet the following criteria: Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline Minimum 2 years experience working in Civil Engineering MEng, MSc, BEng or BSc in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree level qualification Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment Use of industry design standards, i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG, SSG etc. Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage workload. A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations. Excellent spoken and written English. Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other JMS offices. Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
