About the Role
Do you have experience of leading a team or managing a service? Do you have a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Health and Social Care?
Strode Park Foundation (SPF) is offering a rewarding opportunity to join Strode Park House (SPH) as a full-time, permanent Deputy Manager on £34,000 per annum.
Our values of Care, Inspire and Together underpin everything we do, and we are proud to employ truly inspirational people who make our care setting a remarkable place to work.
As Deputy Manager of Strode Park House, you will assist the Registered Manager to oversee our home, ensuring the best possible day-to-day lived experience for residents. You will help to ensure safe, high-quality nursing and support services, and that the home operates smoothly in terms of care quality, contractual, and financial obligations, maintaining a positive reputation.
Strode Park House is a 19th Century Victorian Manor House set in 14 acres of beautiful grounds in the picturesque village of Herne, Kent. It is a residential home with nursing care for 55 adults with physical disabilities and complex needs. We’ve been delivering care since 1946, and this home is where it all started.
SPH provides care on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week, including weekends and bank holidays. This means we value reliable and flexible staff. We'll consider all requests for flexible working and are proud to be a 'Flex from 1st' employer. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need.
As a SPF colleague, you will get comprehensive support from day one and will receive training and development opportunities to develop and hone your skills.
Purpose of the role:
* Support the Registered Manager in managing the home and be directly involved with service development projects, occupancy increases, and generating service development ideas.
* Manage medication service-wide; this will include ordering and auditing of medication.
* Address issues in relation to conduct and competence of staff, conducting management investigations when required.
* Support the manager with the management of localised budgets and controlling costs.
* Provide supervision to the staff as directed by the Registered Manager.
Our ideal Deputy Manager will:
* Hold a Level 3 or 4 qualification in Health and Social Care and be willing to work towards a Level 5 qualification within 18 months of being in post.
* Have excellent knowledge of CQC standards and legislation.
* Have experience of leading a team or managing a service.
* Be flexible with working hours as some evening and weekend work may be required.
* Have an understanding of MCA, DoLS, and safeguarding processes.
It would be an advantage if you have:
* Direct or indirect experience of disabilities or supporting those with disabilities.
* A full clean driving licence.
Interviews are due to take place: 03 March 2025.
