As part of the RSSEO team, we are driving commercial performance and brand awareness through visibility on SERP (Search Engine Results Page) within 32 markets. Over the course of the last 18 months, RS has brought SEO activities in-house with the aim of embedding SEO across the organisation, delivering value and positioning the function in such a way to create a strategic advantage over our competitors.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, this team will set clear SEO goals, optimisation directions, and collaboratively drive successful outcomes with stakeholders. Our increased SEO maturity will set a new industry standard for SEO operational excellence.
The successful candidate will be working in a wider SEO team of 16 SEO practitioners as well as a wider group of stakeholders across a multitude of functions including but not limited to Technology, Development, Product and UX. Over the next 12 months, the technical SEO function aims to play through significant platform changes to improve global technical SEO compliance as well as innovations in testing technology via third parties.
What you will be doing:
As a Technical SEO Specialist, you will support the Senior SEO Specialist to implement automation/Machine Learning tools to generate high-value pages, and with the requirements gathering to implement fully automated solutions in the new search engine and collaborate on CMS migrations and communicating international SEO best practices.
You will provide detailed SEO requirements and work closely with Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and the Content team to ensure effective implementation.
You will support the data hygiene/normalisation process to ensure valid keywords and landing pages are used without duplications and analyse keyword data to create SEO requirements for keyword-driven product page URLs.

* You have good experience in implementing Technical SEO projects.
* You are a skilled communicator with the ability to explain technical SEO stories to others.
* You are highly organised with project management skills.
* You can use data analysis tools such as BrightEdge, Adobe Analytics, Screaming Frog, OnCrawl, DeepCrawl, Botify, etc.
* You stay up to date on SEO Best Practices and Search Engine Industry.
