Specialist Accountancy Practice recruitment consultancy, Clark Wood, are delighted to be working with a leading independent firm in Redhill who are seeking an Accounts and Audit Senior to join their growing team.
Known for providing a fantastic platform for development, this forward-thinking firm are looking for an ambitious and experienced individual to undertake a varied role comprising a mixture of audit, accounts, and tax work.
As an Audit & Accounts Senior you’ll be responsible for leading audit assignments from planning to completion, preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements, and corporate tax returns.
You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of clients including group structured businesses and stand-alone limited companies and will also be responsible for supervising and assisting junior team members.
The ideal person for the role will be ACA / ACCA Qualified, or at the latter stages of their studies, and will have excellent experience of working in a varied general practice position.

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion for a variety of clients across different sectors.
2. Preparing financial statements and management accounts.
3. Reviewing and finalizing accounts prepared by junior staff.
4. Conducting risk assessments and ensuring audit plans are designed to address identified risks.
5. Providing technical advice and guidance on accounting and audit matters.
6. Ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
7. Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
8. Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide ongoing support.
9. Supporting and mentoring junior team members, including on-the-job training and performance reviews.
10. Reporting directly to Partners and Managers on audit progress and findings.
Skills:
1. ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audit and accounting within a practice environment.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
7. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
