Asset Management Support Officer/Admin

Pay Rate: Up to £13.74 per hour PAYE depending on experience
Hours per week: 37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months
City: Coalville, Leicestershire
The purpose of the role is to provide the office and administrative functions of the Asset Management Support Team in order to support the delivery of a modern, effective, customer focused and high performing asset management and property maintenance service.
Key Responsibilities:

4. Help ensure that financial and corporate governance controls are implemented whilst seeking areas for ongoing improvement.
5. Help ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and statutory requirements governing areas of responsibility.
6. Promote the Council's Equality and Diversity Policy to ensure service provision and employment practices are non-discriminatory.
7. Participate in the Council’s appraisal scheme and undertake any necessary training and development as identified for the job role.
8. Undertake any other duties as reasonably required, according to the nature and level of the post.
Qualifications:
1. 5 GCSE's, Grades A-C, or equivalent including English and Mathematics.
Skills & Experience:
1. Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
2. Previous administration experience.
3. Knowledge of how to schedule repair jobs.
4. Ability to support the delivery of modern, effective, customer focused and high performing asset management and property maintenance services.
5. High levels of numeracy and the ability to interrogate and interpret complex financial and statistical data for use in the business and to support performance management.
6. Ability to effectively resolve issues and problems that may arise with contractors or customers, identifying and appraising options and implementing appropriate resolutions.
7. Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite, Mosaic).
