Tesla is looking for a motivated Vehicle Readiness Specialist to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world.
In this position, you will be part of Tesla’s Vehicle Readiness Specialist Team. The team comes into action straight after our cars have arrived from the factory. It all starts with the inspection of the car, administrative follow-up and preparation of the vehicle for delivery. Everything is done with the team’s goal in mind, which is to ensure that all Tesla vehicles are in perfect shape to be handed over to the owner of the car - our highly-valued customer.
This position requires cooperation with other departments within Tesla, therefore the ideal candidate will possess both the technical acumen and the ability to communicate with all levels within and outside the organization.
What You’ll Do
* Perform inspection and functional checks of Tesla vehicles in accordance with Tesla standards.
* Safely operate a variety of hand, power, and workshop tools.
* Perform equipment inspections and adjustments as necessary.
* Maintain records of time, expenses, and materials.
* Order shop supplies and parts.
* Help maintain cleanliness of the shop floor.
* Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines.
* Support technicians in other parts of the business where needed.
What You’ll Bring
* The ideal candidate is technical, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to proactively communicate with all employees and works well in a fast-paced environment.
* PDI related experience preferred.
* Experience with methods, techniques, parts, tools, and materials used in the maintenance and repair of vehicles.
* Experience with operating and maintenance of a wide variety of hand, power, and shop tools.
* Experience with vehicle test equipment and ability to follow diagnostic processes is an advantage.
* Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all stakeholders, including third parties.
* Maintain and perform top-level professional integrity and appearance as a Vehicle Readiness Specialist.
* Flexibility towards a fast-changing environment and processes.
* Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
* Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and insurable.
* The responsibilities of this position may change over time – this role requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of the organization.
