My client, a well-established supplier of electrical and mechanical workshop tools and machinery, is looking for a UK Telesales Manager / Sales Manager to lead and develop their telesales division. With a strong presence across multiple industries - including automotive, industrial supplies, builder’s merchants, and electrical wholesalers- this is a fantastic opportunity to drive growth and make a real impact.
The Role
You will take full responsibility for the UK telesales team, ensuring they achieve and exceed sales targets. Your role will be pivotal in managing, coaching, and motivating the team to drive revenue growth while maintaining excellent customer relationships.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and inspire the sales team to meet and exceed targets.
* Identify new sales opportunities and proactively chase leads.
* Implement strategies to drive team performance and improve sales processes.
* Set and monitor sales KPIs, reporting progress to senior management.
* Conduct sales training and development programmes for the team.
* Recruit, interview, and onboard new sales executives.
* Collaborate with internal teams to optimise customer service and product offerings.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
* Proven track record in managing high-performing sales teams, ideally within B2B wholesale or technical product sales.
* Experience negotiating trade agreements with national accounts, buying groups, or major companies.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to develop effective sales strategies.
* Excellent leadership, coaching, and motivational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
* Highly organised, with strong time management and multitasking abilities.
