Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 Per Day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: After February 2025 Half Term

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant in Scunthorpe to support students in their academic and personal development. This role is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about helping students overcome learning barriers and reach their full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant (LSA), you will work closely with teachers and students, providing targeted assistance in the classroom and small group settings. Your role will involve fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment to support students’ individual needs.
Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:
* Provide one-to-one and small-group support to students.
* Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting materials for individual needs.
* Encourage and motivate students to engage in their learning.
* Support students with literacy, numeracy, and general academic progress.
* Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning attitudes.
* Foster a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Assist with assessments and monitor student progress.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
* Provide emotional and pastoral support to students when needed.
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection policies at all times.
LSA Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
* CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistant or Childcare.
* A degree in Education, Psychology or in a similar field.
* A passion for education and supporting young learners.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to supporting students.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
* An enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
