Job summary To work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team on Day case ward To provide and maintain a high level of efficiency in carrying out prescribed duties as receptionist / Ward clerk in answering telephone queries, inputting and retrieving data, maintaining supplies, filing and photocopying. Main duties of the job Deal with enquires from hospital staff, public and other services and refer them to the appropriate member of staff, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Using the hospital computer system to input and retrieve patient details as required. Responsible for maintaining adequate stationary and supplies in the clinical area. Responsible for reporting faulty machinery, equipment and organising repair. Ordering hire beds and dealing with cancellations/collections.
