BMC Recruitment Group are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant for their client in Hartlepool.

This role as Finance Assistant has become available due to internal promotion. The finance manager, who you will report into, previously held this job and will be available to train and develop you.
You will work as part of a small, friendly team of 3, with colleagues who have worked for the company for over 12 years. Staff turnover in this company is very low, ensuring you will be part of a highly successful business.
You may be currently studying AAT or already have qualifications at levels 2-4 completed; either is acceptable. If you are still studying or wish to continue, this company will support you with both the expenses of the qualifications and the time needed for exams.

Your responsibilities include:
* Preparing recharge invoices
* Handling accruals and prepayments
* Posting daily cash receipts to the accounts receivable ledger and matching to the relevant invoices
* Managing day-to-day banking transactions
* Weekly reconciliation of accounts receivable and reporting to the bank invoice finance facility
* Credit control
* Completing month-end bank and other control account reconciliations
* Completing financial reports and analysis regularly
* Holiday/absence cover for payroll processing (SAGE experience desirable)
* Communicating with customers and suppliers regularly to resolve any issues
* Assisting with budgets
You will need:
* Qualified or AAT, desired
* Experience working with financial systems in an accounts department
* Strong communication skills
* Flexibility to adapt to daily duties depending on business needs
* Ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines
* Continuous self-improvement
