A fantastic opportunity for a new Accounts Assistant Apprentice to join our accounts team. We are looking for motivated, hard-working individuals eager to learn and develop. Wage: Competitive
Probation Period: 3 month probation period prior to starting the apprenticeship with a salary review. 6 month probation review, salary review upon completion.
Training Course: Accounts or finance assistant (level 2)
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, 35 hours a week
Possible Start Date: Tuesday 1 July
Duration: 1 year 4 months

Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
Accounts:
1. PAYE - Send payslips, prepare expenses.
2. Sales invoicing/credit notes.
3. Supplier invoices/Disputes, Supplier statements.
4. Preparing and sending Maintenance Invoicing and error checks.
5. Prepayments.
6. New Customer/Supplier process.
7. Prepare Bank & credit card reconciliations.
8. Sending P60's annually.
9. Aged Debtors (First chaser & client statements).
10. Sage back up.
11. Top up oyster cards.
Weekly Reporting:
1. Weekly Purchase Orders Open.
2. Preparing Weekly Aged Creditors.
3. Preparing Weekly Aged debtors.
4. Weekly Supplier disputes.
Monthly Reporting:
1. Dart Charge Analysis.
2. Parking Fines Analysis.
3. Congestion Charge Analysis.
4. Parking Reports Analysis.
5. Fuel Card Analysis.
6. Oyster Cards.

Training
An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.

Accounts or finance assistant (level 2) - Equal to GCSE
Course Contents
* Record transactional data.
* Use the organisation's standard tools and processes to examine data to identify transactional issues such as reconciliations and inconsistencies between invoices.
* Recognise and rectify routine errors, escalating as necessary.
* Plan and review accounting and finance tasks.
* Communicate with stakeholders to deliver accurate and timely results, avoiding jargon, using language tailored to the audience.
* Use finance and accounting software packages to accurately input and manage data.
* Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements.
Your Training Plan
Training will take place at the workplace, online login to remote lessons, regular assessments, and catch-ups with mentor. Study time allocated per week in the workplace.
