Skills & Learning - Adult Community Education, is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ provider of learning and development across Bournemouth, Christchurch, Dorset and Poole. We are looking for a new tutor to support the delivery of our GCSE Biology provision. This post is ideal for someone looking for a new opportunity, possibly adding to their existing teaching portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Plan engaging learning activities and understand the GCSE Biology curriculum.
* Support learners to make good progress by establishing their starting points and use this information to agree and record targets and goals.
* Motivate and challenge learners using a variety of activities and resources relevant to the GCSE Biology programme, considering learners’ needs, interests, and abilities.
* Assess learner progress regularly, provide frequent, constructive and encouraging verbal and written feedback, and maintain records of assessment and progress to ensure learners are on track to achieve within expected timescales and apply intervention action where necessary.
We would welcome applications from tutors able to work on a variable hours (sessional) basis.
We are looking for a tutor to teach the following course: Tuesday evening GCSE Biology 6pm -9pm at Poole Adult Learning Centre.

The Ideal Candidate
Essential requirements for applicants are:
* A teaching qualification e.g., Award, Certificate or Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent.
* Level 2 English and maths qualifications e.g., GCSE at Grade C or 4 or equivalent.
* At least 2 years’ experience of teaching or training.
* Experience of using MS Teams.
Tutors are expected to adhere to the Professional Standards for Teachers and Trainers developed by the Education and Training Foundation.
