We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated physiotherapist, currently in a Band 6 or 7 post, to lead our friendly Neurology team. You must be an organised person who is a good team player. Excellent communication is essential. You will lead the team alongside another part-time team lead/clinical specialist.
This post is suitable for applicants who have already worked at a team lead level, or who have completed competencies in Stroke and Neurology at a band 6 level. We are committed to CPD and will work with you to further your skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
You will be based in our Neuro ward, which consists of an acute/rehab stroke unit and general neurology inpatients, and will be responsible for neuro and neuro-oncology outliers. There will also be a chance to manage a small outpatient caseload of neurology and/or neuro-oncology patients. You will work closely alongside the MDT, running a 7-day service.

Responsible for service delivery and development in relevant areas. To provide specialist treatment and assessment of patients admitted to relevant areas. Qualifications
Essential
* BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
* HCPC Registration.
* Member of specific interest group.
* MCSP or equivalent.
Knowledge
Essential
* Completed all core Junior rotations.
* Extensive experience within Neuro and Neuro-Oncology in an acute NHS Trust or equivalent at a Senior Level.
* Evidence to support knowledge base in specialist area.
* Evidence of post-registration education and continuous professional development.
* Experience of supervising staff.
* Evidence to support performance monitoring of services.
* Knowledge of clinical governance.
* Experience of training and developing others.
Desirable
* Experience of planning rotas and using electronic systems for rotas.
* Experience of incident reporting.
* Experience of writing policies and standard operating procedures.
