We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Advisor to ensure our client maintains full compliance with health and safety legislation while implementing best practices across the organisation.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily H&S reporting, data analysis, and system improvements, as well as fostering a strong safety culture through effective communication and training.

Key Responsibilities
1. Review and enhance existing H&S policies, procedures, and reporting to align with safety strategies.
2. Support the development of safe systems of work across all departments.
3. Conduct regular audits and address unsafe behaviours at all levels of the business.
4. Deliver educational briefings and training sessions to improve safety awareness.
5. Provide expert H&S advice to employees on safety-related matters.
6. Collaborate with HR to enhance employee onboarding and conduct health and safety inductions.
7. Assist HR with occupational health enquiries and assessments.
8. Conduct and review RISK/COSHH assessments, ensuring controls are implemented and documented.
9. Investigate incidents, enforce preventative measures, and validate corrective actions.
10. Prepare and present reports on accidents, near misses, and safety initiatives.
11. Manage action trackers and implement proactive reporting methods on the factory floor.
12. Coordinate Toolbox Talks, Safety Notices, and One-Point Lessons across the business.
13. Oversee and update First Aid and Fire Marshal responsibilities.
14. Arrange external safety assessments as required.
15. Ensure compliance with GDPR when handling sensitive information.
16. Support management in achieving the company's H&S strategy.
17. Establish and oversee departmental H&S champions.
18. Assist the Health & Safety Manager in all required capacities.
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
1. NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
2. Strong knowledge and understanding of H&S legislation.
Preferred:
1. Experience in a Manufacturing, Assembly, or Factory Environment.
