Job Description
We are looking for a BIM Manager to join our London studio.
For our London team, we're looking for talented BIM Technician with a minimum of 5 years experience.
By combining the liberal arts, digital content, and traditional lighting design, Lighting Design Collective create state-of-the-art lighting schemes.
We are looking for people who can:
· Collaborate with the design team to develop lighting schemes for various market sectors, large-scale projects, and masterplans.
· Deliver Revit models coordinated and clash free to the correct LOD as required for the project work stage.
· Liaise and guide less experienced Revit technicians.
· Liaise with clients and BIM Managers and be a point of contact for BIM expertise.
· Participate in coordination meetings internally and externally.
· Check own and others work and ensure quality and consistency in BIM workflow.
· Manage deliverables on time to a high standard.
· Be involved in all project stages from concept to completion.
· Produce detailed lighting plans, specifications, and reports.
· Input into project BIM Execution Plans.
Requirements:
· A minimum of 5 years experience in architecture, lighting design systems and drafting.
· Sound understanding of Revit functionality including modelling systems, creating and working with schedules, creating sheets.
· Experience with Dynamo and Grasshopper scripting
· Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud workflow.
· Experience with Office 365 products, in particular Excel.
· Proficient in Navisworks and experience in clash detection and coordination.
· Proficient in AutoCAD with experience in setting up drawings and maintaining standards.
· Strong 3D coordination skills.
· An understanding of BIM terminology.
· An understanding of classification, COBie and IFC
· A passion for consistency, neat drawings and modelling.
· Experience of 3D software; 3dsMax and Rhino is essential.
· Working knowledge of lighting design and lighting calculation software.
· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
· Comfortable with hybrid working.
· Eligible to work in the UK.
