About the Home
The home is a large, detached 6 bedded home, with ample space and areas in the home, and a large rear garden, close to all amenities and transport links, which provides support for up to 4 young people, with 2 staff on site 24 hours. We support our children 1:1 in all aspects of their lives, emotionally, supporting education, health, physical and mental well-being, and we encourage independence, providing opportunities for new experiences and promoting their interests & hobbies. We support young people who have experienced trauma in many aspects of their young lives, all of which have had a lasting impact on them, their well-being, and the way they have experienced the world and adults within it, which in turn has an impact on their behaviours and ways of managing/displaying emotions. Our children may also have other underlying diagnoses such as Autism and ADHD.
We have a large team of Support Workers, led by the manager and a Deputy. We work shifts and maintain consistency, boundaries, structure, and routine - all of which are vital in supporting the children to feel safe, learn to accept support & guidance, build strong and meaningful relationships with the children, and make it their home. We are role models, leading by example, engaging with the children, and as the Registered Manager, you will ensure that all of these key aspects are fulfilled by all the team. We advocate for the children and ensure their voices are heard.
