About The Role UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Head of Healthcare to join our established healthcare t eam at HMP Full Sutton, a Category A and B men's prison based in the village of Full Sutton in the East Riding of Yorkshire. This site is around a 30 mins drive from York city centre and is easily accessed from the A166 and A1079.The healthcare team supports around 560 male patients with Primary Care, Substance Misuse and Pharmacy Services. Suitable applicants will have either a clinical or operational career background, with strong managerial skills and experience leading a multi-disciplinary team. This is a brand new role where you will be joining an experienced Head of Healthcare. Hours Monday- Friday, usually between 08:00 - 17:00. Salary This position is full time, you'll receive an annual salary up to £56,000 per annum full time equivalent - depending on experience. What you'll be doing As our new Deputy Head of Healthcare, your responsibilities will vary. You will: Work closely with the Head of Healthcare and senior team to deliver the best service possible to patients Support all pathways that we offer - mental health, primary care and substance misuse Work across the two sites, providing leadership to the clinical leads and wider healthcare team Deputise for the Head of Healthcare when necessary Have responsibility for the operational management of the service Continuously review and assess the service being delivered Review and improve standards and processes Support the Head of Healthcare in delivering agreed contractual requirements and targets from NHS England and drive their strategic vision for the service Ensure effective day-to-day operational management of all clinical services across the site Ensure agreed standards are achieved by leading, developing and motivating your team, ensuring they receive appropriate managerial supervision and performance appraisal If you are interested in career development, we have a wide range of opportunities for you to develop your skills and experience, which include both internal and external options for development and learning.
