Job Description
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for:
3. Manually matching, batching, and coding high volumes of purchase invoices
4. Reconcile supplier statements
5. Preparing and processing payment runs
6. Answer supplier queries and resolve invoice discrepancies
7. Maintain the purchase ledger database
8. Managing the cashbook
9. Assisting in month-end reporting and analysis
10. Processing expenses
11. Adhering to company's financial policies and procedures
12. Working closely with the wider Accounting & Finance team
13. Supporting in other ad-hoc duties as required
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:
14. A proven track record in a similar role, within a busy accounts payable team
15. A solid understanding of the full purchase to pay process
16. The ability to work in a fast paced environment
17. Excellent IT skills, including all Microsoft Office packages
18. Strong written and verbal communication skills
19. The ability to commute to Wallasey 5 days per week
