Job Advertisement: SEND Teaching Assistant – Louth (Primary & Secondary) – Full-Time Protocol Education is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a school in Louth. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and group support to students with special educational needs (SEND). Assist in the delivery of tailored learning plans, ensuring accessibility and engagement for all students. Work closely with teachers and other professionals to monitor and track student progress. Support students in social, emotional, and behavioral development, fostering a positive learning environment. Implement strategies to enhance students’ independence and confidence in both academic and social settings. Aid in the delivery of both group and individual interventions. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times. Qualifications & Experience: Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is highly desirable. Experience working with students with SEND, particularly within primary and secondary school settings. Familiarity with strategies and techniques for supporting students with a range of needs, including autism, dyslexia, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Knowledge of EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans) is beneficial. Strong communication skills and a proactive, caring attitude toward students. Additional Requirements: A full-time commitment is required for this role. Driving licence is beneficial, although access to reliable transport is crucial for travel between schools if necessary.
